Snowdonia Tour

On this tour you will discover the tranquillity and beauty of Llanberis and the Snowdonia area of North Wales.  Llanberis is widely regarded as being unique with its two lakes and medieval castle. 

 

You will be staying at The Quality Hotel Snowdonia.  An elegant Victorian hotel set in 30 acres of gardens and woodland and near to the Snowdonia National Park.  The hotel has comfortable ensuite rooms with a lift to most floors.  Relax in the lounge and take-in the stunning views of the lake or enjoy the outdoors in the hotel's gardens.

Itinerary
 
Day One

 

We will depart from the midlands at approximately 9am.  Travel by luxury coach with on-board facilities to Wales.  We will make a stop at Llangollen which nestles in the beautiful Dee Valley.  Arriving at the hotel in time for dinner.
  
Day Two
 

After breakfast, the coach will depart for a tour through Snowdonia to Porthmadog.  Porthmadog is a bustling little town on the Glaslyn Estuary on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.  Followed by a visit to Portmeirion.  Built by Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion is famous for its architecture, pottery and the setting for Patrick McGoohan's enigmatic television series 'The Prisoner'.  On our way back to the hotel there will be time for a visit to Beddgelert where tumbling rivers meet underneath an ancient arched bridge.  We will return to the hotel in time for dinner.
 

Day Three

 

After breakfast, the coach will depart for the coast where we will visit the Royal town of Caernarfon with the commanding presence of Wales's most famous castle.  Followed by a visit to the elegant resort of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey, an historic town on the Menai Strait with a medieval castle and Victorian Pier.  Returning to the hotel in time for dinner.

 

Day Four

 

After breakfast, the coach will depart for a half day tour along the coast to LLandudno.  Enjoy the Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendour of Wales's largest resort.  Returning to the hotel for some free time to relax or explore Llanberis before dinner.

 

 

Day Five

 

After breakfast, the coach will depart at approximately 10am to make our way back to the Midlands.  Stopping on route at the historic City of Chester.  Magnificent in scale and breathtaking beauty, Chester is a vibrant city combining graceful architecture with a delightful mix iof exclusive stores.  Arriving back in the midlands at approximately 5pm.
