Description
Our annual trip at Christmas time to a traditional market town and garden centre visit this year is to Spalding on Market day followed by a visit to Bay Tree Garden Centre.
Spalding is a charming Georgian town in the Lincolnshire Fens on the River Welland. The town is an interesting place to stroll around. It hosts many charming 18th-c buildings, covering a network of streets along both banks of the river, which is spanned by seven bridges. Tuesday is market day and the festive spirit is always in full flow.
We then make a visit to Bay Tree Garden Centre, the UK’s largest independent garden centre with 16 acres of retail therapy, a licensed restaurant. coffee lounge and famous Christmas displays.
