Many of our customers who have travelled with us over the years, will have come to know our driver, Paul.
Sadly, on New Year’s Day 2022, Paul’s 18-year-old grandson, Jamie, suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away.
Jamie’s family although devastated by their loss have launched a fundraising and awareness campaign. They wish to install several Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) in accessible outdoor locations in Jamie’s memory so that others may be able to benefit from this life-saving equipment. AEDs are designed so that they can be easily administered by people without first aid training. The AEDs purchased will be registered on an online map so that they can be quickly located in the event of an emergency.
As a company we would like to support Paul’s family by helping them to raise awareness of sudden cardiac arrest as a cause of premature death which can happen at anytime….to anyone….without warning. However, with immediate treatment lives can be saved. A defibrillator delivers a shock that when administered can re-establish a regular heart rhythm which subsequently increases the chances of survival.
