Broadway is often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’ with some lovely eateries, independent shops and galleries.  The pretty high street is lined with horse chesnut trees and includes a mixture of period houses and picturesque honey coloured Cotswold stone cottages.  We then transfer to the lovely village of Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the Venice of the Cotswolds, on the River Windrush.  There is a good choice of charming tearooms and independent shops to browse or you could just sit and admire the sparkling waters of the River spanned by its five arched bridges.
