The highlight of this trip is a return journey through the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog on the historic Brecon Mountain Railway. You will journey by vintage steam past sparkling reservoirs, through deep forests and stunning mountain scenery. Before your train journey we will visit Abergavenny, a charming market town in the Black Mountains where you will have time to purchase lunch in one of the many eateries.
Departing Abergavenny we will transfer by coach to Pant Station for our return journey on the train with a stop on the way back at Pontstilcill for the train to take on water which gives you time to take in the lakeside views, enjoy refreshments in the cafe or take a look at the engine and talk to the drivers.
When embarking on the railway you will be experiencing an authentic vintage experience, the carriages are enclosed but unheated with wooden unpadded seats built to traditional narrow gauge dimensions. The whole journey takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes with a 35 minute stop at Pontstilcill Station.

Transfer to Brecon Mountain Railway
Arrive Pant Station approximately 14.00hrs, train departs at 14.30hrs for return journey.
Return journey from Torpantau approximately 14.55hrs arriving at Pontstilcill at 15.25hrs with time to take in the views, take refreshment in the cafe or take a look at the engines.
Depart Pontstilcill at 16.00hrs arriving back at Pant Station at approximately 16.10hrs where the coach will be waiting for your return journey home.
