ROUTE D + R

Sitting on the banks of the River Derwent, this historic spa village features a lively main street with shops, cafes, fish and chips and attractions. There is plenty to see and do including Heights of Abraham, a hilltop park accessible by cable car with caverns, walks and stunning panoramic views.  If the heights are not your thing you could take a wander through the riverside gardens or visit the Aquarium which is housed in a Victorian building and features a Petrifying Well.

Matlock Bath is a scenic town, rich in history made popular by the Victorians as a tourist destination due to the natural thermal springs first utilised by the Romans.  A day out in this pictureseque riverside town is a great way to enjoy an early spring trip out by coach.
