Cotswolds – Castle Coombe & Tetbury

Categories: ,

This excursion takes you to the quintessentially English village of Castle Coombe for a short stroll through the honey-coloured Cotswold cottages and houses.  The village has a pretty bridge and church, St. Andrew’s dates from the 13th century and houses a faceless clock which is reputed to be one of the oldest working clocks in the country.

Our second stop of the excursion is Tetbury in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the second largest town in the Cotswolds. It is the home of HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and the Duchess of Cornwall and, was an important market for Cotswold wool and yarn during the Middle Ages.  Today, it is better associated with boutique shops, great food, and its Royal Connections.
