St Albans is an incredible city, very walkable and rich in history and culture. There is plenty to explore here from bustling markets, the soaring cathedral, museums and galleries, extensive Roman ruins and a wonderful range of independent shops and eateries.
The jewel in the crown of St Albans is definitely the cathedral one of the most magnificent and important of all cathedrals in England and well worth a visit. During December the city comes alive with dazzling lights, fabulous shopping. The market takes place in Wednesdays selling produce, gifts and homewares and international street food.
