Description

England’s ancient capital is a city steeped in history with its sweep of medieval and Georgian buildings laid out according to the Saxon street plan.

Discover the beautiful illuminated Winchester Bible, 12th-century wall paintings, medieval carvings and contemporary art in the magnificent Cathedral. Or take a look around Winchester City Mill which has stood at the heart of Winchester since at least Saxon times. With a history of over 1000 years, Winchester City Mill is probably the oldest working watermill in the UK.

Or why not take a wander through the winding streets of Winchester and you will find a retail offering that boasts independent and big name stores, chic boutiques and designer treasure troves alongside exclusive cafes, established restaurants and vibrant galleries.

This day trip by coach is from our Free to Explore collection. We do the driving and take care of the parking, all you have to do is decide what to do when you get there!
